Here’s a little something to encourage you from
Psalm 25:1 & 4-5 (NIV)
“In You, Lord my God, I put my trustShow me Your ways, Lord, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long.

I don’t know about you, but for me, this whole election season has been completely chaotic…and this past election night was just more of the same.  In the midst of all the chaos our culture is presenting to us on a daily basis, I think there’s something you need to hear…no matter who wins this presidential election, JESUS will still be King.

Friend, I would like to challenge you to make the decision to STOP right now, and PRAY the simple combination of verses listed above. These verses from Psalm 25, remind me that only GOD is GOD, and He alone is worthy of my trust and my hope. I know how tempting it can be, to put one’s trust & hope in other people–(people like presidential candidates)–but friend, these people are just people…they are flawed & messed up in more ways than one–(just like you & me). But GOD is GOD…He is not flawed, and He is not messed up…and so therefore, only GOD is worthy of our trust & hope.

So if you decide to take this challenge to PRAY this simple scripture mentioned above, then please remember what you’re asking for.  You’re asking GOD to show you His ways in the midst of this chaos. You’re asking GOD to teach you His paths, and you’re asking GOD to guide you in His truth. And this is a BIG DEAL!!! Because when you & I make this scripture by our prayer, I believe what we’re doing is essentially saying, “No more world, no more! I’m not letting your chaos distract me from my King…for my trust and my hope is in Him…all day long.”

Friend, may your trust and your hope be in the King…all day long.
